On October 22, 2022, the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad ran their fall photography special. Seemingly inspired by the Cumbres and Toltec's "Toltec Rattler Redux," the photo train was backdated to a 1970s appearance. K-28 #476 wore a fake diamond stack, passenger cars were run backwards, and the whole train featured Denver & Rio Grande Western lettering.
